Ana Lutua Freshwater Sciences 2023

Ana Lutua

Currently employed by NatureFiji-MareqetiViti as a Conservation Officer, where I have been actively engaged in the Citizen Science project with the grassroots communities. I was involved in the Young Conservation Leadership Project and helped conduct socio-economic surveys in various communities, collecting phenological data for a conservation project relating to endemic and endangered Fijian palms and Plants, and providing assistance with desktop research, data entry, and with administrative assistance. In addition, I consistently support the Freshwater experts in sampling different Freshwater bodies in various catchments, introducing ''Traffic Lights Bioindicator'' to local communities, empowering young generations to value and steward their natural resources, and mostly enjoying an age-friendly river invertebrate spotting game, 'Meandering Mate Hunt'
