Scott A McKendrick

I am a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne looking the distribution and drivers of instream vegetation. This role follows my PhD where I identified relationships between instream vegetation and geomorphic complexity, flow regime and the important biogeomorphic role of these plants. I'm also currently part of a project quantifying sediment and propagule deposition related to environmental flows along the Goulburn River that has been going for multiple years (with 120,000+ seedlings counted!). I've also collaborated with the Arthur Rylah Institute investigating instream plant recruitment during low flow events. I also enjoy endurance running and have completed two mountain ultra marathons and a road marathon, and long walks in the mountains (particularly of my homeland, Tassie!).
