Christina L McCabe

G'day! I'm a Master of Science (Ecology) student with University of Otago and University of Canterbury, New Zealand. My thesis research is all about why we need to give rivers more room to move on their floodplains, and I'm using some big nationwide datasets to explore questions about how more secondary channels (or side channels) in river channel morphology can affect biodiversity and community stability. Currently, I'm really interested in landscape scale conservation, meta-ecosystems, long-term dynamics and forecasting change, lots of data, and big complex rivers.
