Milad Esmaeilbeigi
I hold both my masters and bachelor in natural resources engineering and recently I have started my PhD at University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia. I have been working for more than 7 years as an ecotoxicologist who has focused on the impacts of environmental contaminants on the aquatic species. Currently I am working on my PhD project concerning the interactions between host and pathogen in response to environmental stressors. I am specifically working on the chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) as a deadly fungi parasite which has invaded the amphibians like Green and Golden Bell Frog (Litoria aurea). I am interested in using environmentally relevant concentration of metals and simulate the potential interactions through exposure experiments in the lab (In vitro and In vivo).
