Connor Quiroz
Connor Quiroz is a current student at CSU, Monterey Bay studying Environmental Science Tech & Policy with minors in data science and statistics. Having worked in the Watershed Environments & Ecology Lab, he has completed monthly monitoring of the Santa Lucia Preserve, identified species of moss for dry stream analysis, better understand eDNA degradation through stream, microplastic analysis, and help build a species distribution for the California red-legged frog through eDNA collection. He has also attended an REU at Central Michigan University research how microbes in purple pitcher plant were affected by short-term and long-term disturbances. He is currently looking into graduate programs ranging from freshwater sciences, environmental science, and data science. He also enjoys marathoning, hiking and water polo.
