Aaliyah D Wright
Aaliyah Wright is a first year PhD student at Central Michigan University. She is a part of the Earth and Ecosystem sciences program and studies under Dr. David Zanatta. Aaliyahâs work focuses on the ecology and evolution of freshwater mussels. She conducts analyses on samples, analyzes data and works on conserving remaining populations of Obovaria subrotunda. Aaliyah is also supported by the The National Science Foundation as a graduate research fellow. She aspires to be a conservation geneticist and avidly promotes underrepresented minorities in scientific fields. When she is not in the lab, Aaliyah enjoys spending time with her dogs and reading.
